Commissioner Jeffrey Redick — District 2
Jeffrey Redick was appointed to the Forest Preserve District’s Board of Commissioners for District 2 in December 2014. Prior to his appointment, Redick served as an ethics advisor for the agency.
Redick previously served on the DuPage County Board for District 2 for two terms, from 2006 to 2012. As chair of the Environmental Committee, he worked on developing and expanding the trail system and improving water quality as chairman of the Environmental Committee. He also helped lead the effort to make DuPage County the first county to receive the Governor’s Sustainability Award.
As a District commissioner, Redick’s top priorities include hiring a new executive director and implementing a reorganization plan to maximize maintenance of forest preserves and structures in a cost-efficient manner. “My goal is to provide common-sense leadership that allows the Forest Preserve District to improve and enhance the quality of life for the people we represent,” Redick said.
Some of his favorite outdoor activities include camping with his family at Blackwell Forest Preserve and golfing at Oak Meadows Golf Course.
Redick lives with his wife and three sons in Elmhurst. He is a partner in an Oak Brook-based law firm where he specializes in workers’ compensation matters. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and a law degree from Drake University.
