Trail Conditions

Feb. 23, 2018 — Several DuPage forest preserve trails and other areas are impassable or flooded due to heavy rains. They include: 

  • Blackwell Forest Preserve’s regional trail intersection at Mack Road, canoe launch turn-around near the off-leash dog area, and Arrow Road service drive
  • Burlington Park Forest Preserve's entrance
  • Cricket Creek Forest Preserve's parking lot turn-around and trail
  • Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve’s Night Heron Trail including areas from York Road to 31st Street connector and from Spring Road cable gate to Graue Mill, and Graue Mill underpass
  • Greene Valley Forest Preserve’s Southern DuPage Regional Trail, including area over East Branch DuPage River and East Branch Trail north of the off-leash dog area
  • Herrick Lake Forest Preserve’s Herrick Lake Trail near the northwest corner of Herrick Lake
  • Mallard Lake Forest Preserve’s pedestrian bridge on the northwest side of the lake
  • McDowell Grove Forest Preserve’s trail underpasses at Ogden Avenue, I-88 and Diehl Road, and trail adjacent to Mud Lake
  • Salt Creek Marsh Forest Preserve’s Salt Creek Greenway trail
  • Salt Creek Greenway Forest Preserve’s trail underpass near North Ave.
  • Salt Creek Park Forest Preserve’s connector trail from the parking lot to Addison Road and shelter
  • Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve’s trail underpass at Naperville/Plainfield Road
  • Timber Ridge Forest Preserve’s trail underpass at North Ave.
  • Warrenville Grove Forest Preserve’s trails near main parking lot bridge
  • West Branch Forest Preserve’s trails along the western area of Deep Quarry Lake
  • West DuPage Woods Forest Preserve and Elsen’s Hill’s turf trail adjacent to the West Branch DuPage River

Our preserve trails and other areas will reopen as conditions improve.
