Community Advocate Appointed to Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County

(April 26, 2017) — Karyn Charvat of Naperville has been appointed to the board of directors of the Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, the District’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit support group.

Charvat is the executive director of PowerForward DuPage and serves on the board of Choose DuPage, Chamber 630 and the Illinois Solar Energy Association. She also serves on the board of directors for the General Federation of Women’s Clubs headquartered in Washington, D.C. She has more than 25 years of experience in advertising, marketing and public relations.

“Karyn brings a wealth of expertise to the Friends board and is a great new addition,” said Forest Preserve District of DuPage County President Joe Cantore. “We’re confident she will be a true advocate for District initiatives.”
