Spend an Enchanted Evening with 'Wizards, Wands and Wildlife' at Mayslake Jan. 4 & 5

Learn About Fantastic Creatures at Fun Program

(Dec. 4, 2018) — Spend an enchanted evening meeting live snakes and other fantastic creatures at “Wizards, Wands and Wildlife” 6 – 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, and 3 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, at Mayslake Peabody Estate at 1717 W. 31st St. in Oak Brook.

Witch and wizard families will be sorted into groups and outfitted with wands before attending magical courses where they will learn about owls and other fantastic creatures, the transformative powers of insects, and the defensive strategies of wildlife. Participants are invited to dress in their favorite magical attire for the evening. The program costs $15 per person and is for ages 8 and up; under 18 must be accompanied by adults. Participants will be welcomed in the great hall where they will make their wands. Families will then be sorted into four groups to attend classes of magical studies. Free refreshments will be available, and participants can purchase their own stuffed cuddly creatures at the gift shop.
