The Urban Stream Research Center at Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville is a premiere research center dedicated to the study of water quality in DuPage County and the midwest region. Native mussel species and endangered insect species are reared at the center to promote diverse animal populations in local rivers, lakes and streams.
