Herrick Lake Forest Preserve in Wheaton is one of our most popular preserves for kayaking, fishing and picnicking. And now you can host your birthday party, field trip or corporate outing here, too!
We offer exclusive use of the Herrick Lake East shelter and the entire fleet of watercraft on weekdays from the Tuesday after Memorial Day through the Friday before Labor Day. See details below.
DuPage Residents: $250 for the first two hours. Each additional hour is $100.
Nonresidents: $300 for the first two hours. Each additional hour is $125.
Exclusive use of the Herrick Lake East picnic shelter with grills and electricity
The entire fleet of watercraft (12 kayaks, 6 tandem kayaks, 12 canoes, and six rowboats, personal flotation devices included)
Children ages 9 and under must be in a boat with an adult 18 years or older.
Children ages 10 – 17 must be in proximity of an adult in a boat in the water.

The preserve is open daily from one hour after sunrise until one hour after sunset. Dogs must be on leashes under 10 feet long, and alcohol is prohibited. Read our Rules & Regulations.
