Planning a Party, Field Trip, or Corporate Event? Book a 'Find It at Fullersburg' Outing

New guided nature hikes, fishing, geocaching, and nature restoration experiences available

Easily organize a memorable outing with Find It at Fullersburg guided nature hikes, fishing, geocaching, and nature restoration experiences on Wednesdays at Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve in Oak Brook.

Two- and four-hour packages are available year-round on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. starting at $250 for DuPage residents and $300 for nonresidents. (Call for pricing for Scouts and other groups.) S’more kits are available for purchase with each outing.

Each outing includes help from friendly staff, use of a picnic shelter or meeting room, and use of a fireplace or firepit with firewood supplied. For the fishing package, fishing poles and tackle are included but not bait. Anglers 16 and older must have valid fishing licenses.

Summer parties, outings and retreats can also be reserved through Have It at Herrick! at Herrick Lake Forest Preserve in Wheaton. Two-, four-, and eight-hour packages are available weekdays through Aug. 30 and include exclusive use of the east picnic shelter and the preserve’s entire fleet of watercraft (12 kayaks, 12 canoes, and six rowboats) with help from Forest Preserve District staff. Groups can borrow fishing poles and tackle as well (bait not included). For an extra charge, planners can add a 90-minute ranger-led archery program to any four-hour package; archery is included with the eight-hour package.
