Nature Needs You More Than Ever

Make a Donation to Your Forest Preserves

The natural areas and wildlife we’ve come to love in DuPage don’t always come naturally. The Forest Preserve District works tirelessly throughout the county to restore habitats and protect rare, threatened and endangered plants and animals every day.

Thanks to donors like you, the Friends of the Forest Preserve District is able to help the District steward nearly 26,000 acres and countless wild species in DuPage forest preserves.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the forest preserves have seen record numbers of visitors hitting the trails to get the most from the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of nature. This increase in crowds — coupled with the need to significantly adjust operations because of the pandemic — made 2020 an exceptional year for the forest preserves, which is why nature needs your help more than ever.

We hope as you consider making your year-end tax-deductible donations this holiday season that you’ll place DuPage forest preserves on your list. Your help can ensure much-needed conservation work will continue and grow in the coming year.

Select one of our designated programs on this page, donate to your favorite forest preserve or center, or make an undesignated gift where the need is greatest. Make your gift online (from the "my gift benefits" dropdown feature below) or by check made payable to the Friends of the Forest Preserve District and mail to:
