Protect Nature and More in DuPage

Make a Donation to Your Forest Preserves

Thanks to donors like you, the Friends of the Forest Preserve District helps to champion 60 DuPage forest preserves and the rare, threatened and endangered wildlife that lives in these natural areas. It’s work being done by the Forest Preserve District to not only ensure great places for native plants and animals to thrive but also improve residents’ quality of life here in DuPage County.

We appreciate that many causes are worthy of your support. We ask you to consider making a gift to continue the much needed conservation work and wildlife-preservation initiatives that have already begun in your forest preserves.

Support your favorite forest preserve, center or project — or even make an undesignated gift where the need is greatest. Make your gift online (at one of the green buttons below) or by check made payable to the Friends of the Forest Preserve District and mail to:

Forest Preserve District Headquarters at Danada
3S580 Naperville Road
Wheaton, IL 60189

Thank you for your support to create sustainable natural areas for wildlife and people’s enjoyment.

Help Us Support Colt Duke at Danada Equestrian Center (Restricted)

Duke is the first horse to be born at Danada Equestrian Center in 10 years! Staff learned his mother was pregnant during a pre-purchase exam, and Duke’s costs were not part of the center’s budget for the coming year. Your support will help provide Duke with the veterinary care and training he deserves. To make an online donation, click the green button.

Help Us Conserve a Species (Restricted)
The Blanding's turtle is a state-endangered species. Its populations have been declining due to low hatchling success rates and shortened life spans, due in part to a loss of habitat. Support our head-start program by adopting a hatchling to be reared in captivity before it is release to the wild. To adopt a hatchling, click the green button.

A gift of life insurance allows you to make a generous gift at relatively low cost. By designating the Friends as a beneficiary of your policy, you receive an immediate tax deduction and eliminate the proceeds of the policy from your estate. All premium payments thereafter will also be tax-deductible, subject to IRS limitations. You can also transfer ownership of a paid-up policy or donate your insurance policy dividends.

Matching Gifts

Some businesses match gifts from an employee or the employee's spouse, doubling or tripling the value of the donation. To maximize the benefit, check with your employer about matching-gift programs, and contact the Friends if you need any documentation.
