The Forest Preserve District purchases required goods and services in conformance with Illinois state law, the DuPage County Purchasing Ordinance, related resolutions of the Board of Commissioners and administrative policies. The District makes requirements for purchases under $20,000 in accordance with established procedures for small-dollar purchases and informal quotations. For purchases over $20,000, it advertises formal bid announcements in local newspapers and also publishes these on the District website.
Contracts are reviewed at regular board meetings and planning sessions. Vendor contracts are published to the Board Meetings page with meeting agendas, a comprehensive packet of agenda items and supplemental documentation.
