Unplug to Recharge
We’ve all read the news. We all know the facts. Sometimes we have to put down those slick devices we carry around all day and look up at some trees and clouds instead.
For those who need more than a nudge to try it, this summer the Forest Preserve District is offering some fun challenges, contests, and free swag to amp up your motivation.
So get ready to hit ESC, change your background, and clear your cache for real. Scroll to find out more!
Take the Pledge
Commit to unplug for 30 minutes each day and spend that time exploring nature.
After you take the pledge, sign up for biweekly emails with unplugging tips, nature facts, and ideas to help keep the momentum going all summer long.
As a thank you, stop by the Visitor Services office at Forest Preserve District headquarters at Danada Forest Preserve, the DuPage Wildlife Conservation Center, the Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center, the Timber Ridge Visitor Center at Kline Creek Farm, or St. James Farm to pick up a free vinyl sticker, cinch backpack, and trails guide while supplies last. (Just make sure to check each site for hours before you head out.)
