Visit Stars and Stripes
Explore the history of this American symbol at Stars and Stripes: Our American Flag featuring historic flags and related artifacts from the Forest Preserve District’s museum collection. This free, all-ages exhibit is in the visitor center at St. James Farm and is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Oct. 31.

Bring a picnic and enjoy an afternoon of hands-on history, including traditional 1890s games, a historic picnic display, and making ice cream using ice from the farm’s icehouse.
