As the lakes freeze and the ground turns white, we’ll be adding a flurry of outdoor fun to our winter program lineup!
Because ice and snow can be unpredictable here in the Midwest, it’s difficult to plan too far in advance, so this winter we’re kicking off a new “Winter Adventure Series” featuring pop-up programs so you can take advantage of prime winter weather.
"Scheduling our programs a month or more in advance, we found that opportunities for fun and engaging recreation were being missed," said Adam Carlson, assistant manager of site operations. "These pop-up programs offer the flexibility to take advantage of seasonal changes and ultimately connect more folks to nature."
Most programs will take place on weekends and school holidays, but all will be scheduled on short notice (usually three days in advance) so text EVENTS to 866-743-7332 to sign up for alerts, which you’ll get as soon as programs are set. We’ll also post info at dupageforest.org and on Facebook.
