Support DuPage Forest Preserves on #GivingTuesday Dec. 1

Seventh year Friends nonprofit group participates in global “Day of Giving”

(Nov. 19, 2020) — Keep your #GivingTuesday donation local by contributing a gift to DuPage forest preserves.
The Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides many ways to support the DuPage Forest Preserve District and its work to restore habitat and conserve rare, threatened and endangered wildlife.

Give a cash gift. Gifts of cash are one of the easiest, most convenient ways to contribute. Donors can give by credit card online at or mail a check payable to the Friends of the Forest Preserve District at 3S580 Naperville Road, Wheaton, IL 60189.

Ask your employer to match your gift. Some employers match donor gifts — or even a spouse’s — doubling or tripling the value. The Friends provides documentation to support matching-gift programs.

Make a tribute. Celebrate an important person in your life by making a cash gift in honor or memory of a loved one.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to have a local impact in this global effort and help our forest preserves, which so many people have turned to as a sanctuary and escape during the pandemic,” said District Community Relations Director Tony Martinez. “Your gift helps support sustainable natural communities for wildlife and people’s enjoyment in your own backyard.”
