Aurora woman brings financial expertise to the Friends board
(Feb. 20, 2020) — Aurora accountant Ashley Guest has been appointed to the board of directors of the Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, the District’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit support group.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ashley to the board of directors,” said Karyn Charvat, president of the Friends board. “Her extensive education, CPA certification and financial experience will be a wonderful asset to the Friends.”
A certified public accountant, Guest will use her keen interest in financial reporting, planning and analysis on the foundation’s finance committee.
“I love running, walking and biking on the DuPage forest preserve trails, and also enjoy kayaking on the West Branch DuPage River,” Guest said. “I look forward to helping foster forest preserve projects and the Friends’ mission.”
Guest is a senior accountant at Calamos Investments in Naperville, where she began working as an intern in June 2013. She has a Bachelor of Science in accounting and an MBA in accounting, both from North Central College in Naperville.
