Jeanette Andrews Dazzles with 'Impossible Apples' Magic Show March 6 – 10 at Mayslake

Sensory Illusionist Wows Audience with Series of Interactive Illusions

(Feb. 7, 2019) — Be amazed at the interactive illusions of sensory illusionist Jeanette Andrews at her “Impossible Apples” performances March 6 – 10 at Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 W. 31st St. in Oak Brook.

Andrews uses the scent of wet dirt and apples as catalysts in a series of guided, interactive illusions where participants can create the impossible and seemingly predict the future. Andrews’ work uses magic, scientific oddities and sensory anomalies to bridge everyday life to a heightened world.

Hailed as one of the most innovative illusionists today, Andrews is a contemporary magician and artist who has invented a unique take on this ancient art form.

“My vision is to take the art of illusion back to a high art with the prestige it held in the 1800’s by bringing it back to the arts sector and presenting contemplative works. I enjoy finding historic magic illusions and modernizing them for today’s audiences, where impossible feats are performed by the viewers themselves,” Andrews said.

Performances of “Impossible Apples” are at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 through Sunday, March 10, with an additional 3 p.m. show on Thursday, March 7, and Sunday, March 10. The program is for ages 12 and up; under 18 with an adult. Cost is $20 per person. Register online or at 630-206-9566.
